What we Farm
We grow four main crops Lentils, Durum wheat, Canola and Canary.
We choose these crops because they work in a four year rotation that helps us to manage weeds, chemical residual and land productivity. Lentils and Durum have been grown on the farm since the beginning as they have proven to be very drought resistant. We work hard every season to determine available nutrients and moisture in the soil to make changes to the seeding plan as necessary. We often have to consider many pieces when creating the seeding plan, future value of the commodity, moisture expectations, and crop rotation, but at the forefront is health of the soil.
